Make up your mind, like it or not you chose to do the films so dont say anything bad when you are still kissing the girl who looks like shes addicted to many drugs…. Why does a fresh actor with almost no roles under his belt have to take only roles he loves?
How many jobs have you had that you absolutely loves? You do what you have to in order to achieve the maximum success in your life. When he said he hated the series, you all heard Edward Cullen say that, not Rob. Jesus, learn to differentiate between the actor and the character. Most of these type films have clauses in the contracts which state that the actor will continue to act in any sequels that occur. I find it truly absurd that you think its ok to get irate with any fan.
No matter how long your day has been or how bad you feel, those are the people that make your career what it is. I even agree with some of the things that Robert had to say about it. But it is still wrong for him to say and do the things he does just because he thinks he can. Twilight is the only reason that he will be able to choose a role that he likes and wants in the future. Nice find, Tassi.
You not only made me like Pattinson, you made me read a Twilight article, which I have not done in months. Well done. I never disliked the guy or Stewart since they are just actors playing a part. I still feel a bunch of nothing about everyone involved in these films.
I do have to say to everyone complaining about him dissing these terrible films, if any of you have ever stated that you dislike your jobs than you are no better than him just much less well payed. Your argument comes off like someone who thinks that complaining about their job is criminal and people should be held fiscally responsible for it.
Would you take money away from a garbageman who complained about how disgusting parts of his job are and how he smells like garbage when he gets home? Any number of no-name actors which is what he was in his position would do the same, principles be damned. One on hand, he took the gig never knowing it was going to turn into a career-defining role in the way that it has.
I sympathize with his wanting to create some distance from what he took as a job but what has turned into a bit of an albatross. On the other hand, it sounds a little douch-y. But I think it would be decent of him to just let Twilight be Twilight and suck it up. If you had a boss and a job that you absolutely hated, but he gave you a huge promotion and let you pick a better job that you loved, Would you run around bad mouthing him? Now, because of Twilight, Rob can pick the roles he plays.
Why do we need to know that he dislikes the Saga? What kind of example is that for his younger fans. More power to him! What i find interesting is the allegation Craig that he lacks integrity by accepting a role in a series he obviously dislikes.
There is no rule that says an actor has to like the role, admire the character, or anything of the sort. All an actor has to do is do his best to make us believe he is the character while he is playing the role.
That is his right. What about vegetarians who work in restaurants which serve meat? I feel bad for him. He took the Twilight role because he had no idea how big the books were in the states.
He thought it was a small-time project based on a book with a small audience. He knew they were bad, and he was disgusted when he found out they were popular and successful.
You should have found some of the quotes along these lines. Hearing that was what made me like the guy, and feel sorry for him. Also, you should include that phase he went through of dissing vagina. I always felt he was trying to be as crass and off-putting as he could be in an attempt to alienate his creepy tween fangirl audience.
Register here. As Twilight has seen a resurgence of popularity with Gen Zers on TikTok, Meyer has finally given long-time Twihiards what they want: a new book in the series called Midnight Sun. Following the leak, Meyer took a hiatus and announced earlier this year it was finally going to be published - more than a decade later.
He is also set to star as Batman in an upcoming reboot of the series alongside Zoe Kravitz, with other films due to be released including Christopher Nolan's Tenet and The Devil All the Time. Speaking to Howard Stern in , Pattinson revealed his agents were so concerned that he was going to get himself fired from the films they flew over to sort him out. They resorted to handing him a highlighted copy of the book with every instance of his character smiling he responded by returning the copy, highlighted with every instance of his character frowning.
I wanna keep my job! In a blisteringly candid interview with Access Hollywood, Pattinson pulled a pained face when asked if his experience on the film had turned out to be what he wanted. Pattinson and his co-star Kristen Stewart found themselves swept to super-stardom when they took on the roles of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.
I think people really just like being part of a crowd. But why? Since I know that some of them say he's "ugly" which I can't see why do they say that, but still. Why would you hate him?
Just because he's "ugly"? It's not fair to hate anyone who plays as a good character so there's no reason to judge the book by it's cover. Then what if someone calls you "ugly"?
He's very musical and talent. He was like on the A list. You know what I mean? Like he's the one that is on the top list of the very famous star that has a lots of money. Also, he used to be in Harry Potter and Remember Me. He plays very good as Cedric Diggory and Tyler Hawkins. And he knows how to play a guitar and a piano. He's almost like a pro on that.
