It may had never been said that Apollo was Apollonius, but it's implied in almost every other episode. As it says in the wiki page, unrequited love for celiane and prayed to the heavens that he be reborn a human pollon. Fudo may be the watcher of the world and apollonius but apart of him is in Aquarion atleast the first season the second season was bad at following the previous season in tiny details like that.
I'm done trying to connect the dots. If there going to pull a Mykage splitting Apollo's reincarnation into 2 people act. Then I'm just going to assume that apart of apollonius soul and pollon soul merged to become apollo 12, years before that so it atleast makes for a better story than Celiane being reborn to love a shadow dog angel.
Well as a fan of the first series i have to say "Fudo being Apollonius" is a complete nonsense. They couldn't find a better plot so they ended it with some kind of joke.

Not to mention she is always by Fudo's side. The power increase almost defeats Toma, but a surviving Otoha sacrifices herself to blow up the Assault Vectors, causing the awakening of Aquarion's Solar Wings. Baron was Apollo's best friend when they lived together in Arc City with their friends Chibiko, Hanatare, Megane, and Maji otherwise know as the orphans that Baron and Apollo cared for. It is shown that when Apollo was a young boy, he and Baron lived in the same internment camp. Before he left, he kissed her and told her that they would meet again after 12, years. Sirius is presumably the other half of Celiane's reincarnation. When he was interacting with Apollo, he felt rivalry towards him.
He battled with him for the title of the Solar Wing, claiming that he was Apollonius true reincarnation. In the series Genesis of Aquarion, Apollo and Reika had a friends relationship. However, in the OVA, Reika started showing affection for Apollo, claiming that she was the reincarnation of Celiane and that he was the reincarnation of Apollonius and that they were meant to be together. However, in the end it was revealed that she was the reincarnation of Scorpius , who attempted to kill Apollonius.
Despite this, Apollo, Silva and Reika united to defeat Toma. Gen Fudo was like Apollo's mentor. He taught him things about the Aquarion and gave him special lessons. I mean the whole point of Apollonious and Celiane reincarnating was to meet each other again in 12, years and beyond - now we've got the dog whom we all kinda thought was Shushu that was actually the reincarnation and who strives to gain the love of Celiane in human form. He explained that Amata got the dog's wings, Kagura got the other traits. I think that this episode ruined the whole series for a lot of us. Now Genesis of Aquarion just seems weird. Come on, a dog falling in love with Sylvie. But the most important thing is that she didn't even realize it. She thought he was Apollonius. This story was made up just for the purpose of EVOL. I think that when making Genesis of Aquarion, they didn't plan it like this. Also, how can a dog have wings of the sun that Amata has???

I did watched this to see reincarnations happen and to see people fall in love over and over again, but Amata changed my thoughts and said lets not have this reincarnation happen. So what do they do they put Amata back in to the equation, I'm like fine, i'll deal with it. Amata is still the living shit, then they made him a dog. Now Mikages anger only thing that even begins to make sense even though at the end of the day its stupid as hell.
I won't lie I was pretty obsessed over this show, even when i knew it had its meh moments, I was that guy dying over it. But wow How could you be so dumb to add such a stupid ass plot as a pet being reincarnated. Now to stop talking about my feelings about this dumbass new plot, and review the episode. Explained everything briefly stupidly since they didn't add an important part[ The scene where they touched the feather] , Zen stays real to his role.
Shrade dies didn't have too many feels about this, too upset over the stupid ass plot. I'll be honest, at first Mikages trolling angered me, now i don't care troll some moar bra Kyled00m I wanna see what you will say about this episode. Can you picture what investors were thinking after watching this episode. I'm probably sounding like a broken record but Mikage makes one of the best villains for a story that I've ever seen.
I hope Zessica turns out okay in the end but I liked the twist with him taking her over. The twist with the winged dog is weird but strangely I like that, too. No no no no no no. No no no Just no. Gonna just slide back and pretend this didn't happen. Actually, nothing in this series can surprise me anymore.
